This indicator shows the age-adjusted hospitalization rate of residents above the age of 18 and older that have been discharged with a principal diagnosis of mental health disorder (not including drug and alcohol Induced disorders). It is defined by ICD-9-CM codes 290, 293-302 and 306-319 for years 2010-2015 and ICD-10-CM codes F01-F09 and F20-F99 for year 2016 as primary diagnosis at hospital discharge.
